4 Ugly Lies The World Is Trying To Teach Children

4 Ugly Lies The World Is Trying To Teach Children

Here are four of the ugliest lies the world is teaching our children and grandchildren so you’ll know what you’re up against as a parent, foster parent, or grandparent.

Molecules to Man

The theory of evolution reduces children into thinking that they’re only an accident of nature, a random occurrence of blind chance with no intelligent designer, and that they live on a lucky planet found in what is called “the Goldilocks Zone” of our solar system, where the chance for life was fortunately increased because of where the earth is placed. The world teaches children they evolved from animals, and then they’re surprised when they sometimes act like one. This lie teaches children that they have no true purpose, that they have no future beyond the grave, and that it is a dog-eat-dog world where survival of the fittest is the name of the game.

It’s Okay To Lie

I took an ethics class in college, and it angered me that some of the students thought it was okay to lie. Strangely, the professor saw no problem with this. It is not okay to lie, sorry. When the professor said it was okay to lie, he actually committed a lie right there. The Bible says that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire (Rev 21:8). So, sorry professor, you are wrong. How sad to tell students it’s okay to lie. Would the professor really want the students to lie to him about why they missed an assignment or why they missed class or to make an excuse for a “death in the family” lie just so they could get out of class?

The Bible Is Not True

This one is interesting. I had a young man try to refute the Bible’s authenticity by saying that it was written by man. He said that his biology, history, and science textbooks showed him what is really true. I asked him, “Who wrote these books? Weren’t they also written by men?” He acknowledged my point, but then he said, “The Bible is full of errors.” So I asked him to show me where they were. He waffled, and then I asked him, “Do you use the same science textbook you used 10 years ago?” He said, “No.” Then I asked him why not, and he said they’ve been revised and updated. Why? Because they found some errors and new discoveries and had to replace the mistakes in the old science books. He saw my point. Textbooks necessarily have to be revised every few years because they find mistakes, and new information has to be added. Not so with the Bible. It stands the test of time, unlike books written by the so-called educated of the world.

Man Is Basically Good

Really?! The Bible says that “all have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one” (Rom 3:12) and “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick” (Jer 17:9). Jesus said that “no one is good except God alone” (Mark 10:18). Nope, we’ve all fallen short, way short, of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). God alone is good, and mankind in our fallen nature is not, but we can be forgiven by a good God and made the very righteousness of God by Jesus’ atoning payment and death (2 Cor 5:21).

Conclusion

Our children and grandchildren will hear many lies in the world, even in our schools. So parents must rely on God alone for truth, and it is found in His Word because only God cannot lie (Num 23:19; Titus 1:2). You can trust what you read in His Word; of that you can be 100% sure.

May God richly bless you,
