Here are three great ways to turn your day around.
Start Earlier
There’s no worse way to start your day than to begin it by being late. I hate that feeling. Just when you are trying to hurry the most, everything seems to go wrong. I find that’s too stressful, so I started my day a bit earlier. I moved my alarm clock back a half hour, even if it means I go to be a half hour earlier. When I begin the day in no rush, I find I have time to pray, time to read God’s Word, and time to make it to work on time without being stressed, so one way to turn your day around is turn your clock back. I find I needed that extra half-hour of time more than I needed that extra half-hour of sleep.
Worship in Song
One of the ways that I begin my day (not always) is to listen to some great worship music, and do this in my “prayer closet” where I can be on my face before God and worship Him. Some songs just lift my spirit because they focus on the goodness of God and His manifold blessings. He is just too good to not praised in the morning, either in prayer or in prayer and music worship. That’s a great combination for me, and I believe it’s a great way to turn your day around.
Time with a Friend
I don’t always have the chance, but when I do get the chance, I love calling my friend or just having lunch with him. You can really turn your day around by sharing your life with a friend. That’s what friends are for. The Proverbs say “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Prov 17:17), and most of us have “a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Prov 18:24b) or sister. Don’t have such a friend? Find a friend by being a friend, and that friend can help you turn your day around.
Conclusion
Obviously, your day would be better started if you’re not in such a rush. Then, you’ll have plenty of time to get things done in the morning, but more importantly, you’ll have more time for prayer and for God’s Word. You’ll also help turn your day around by worshiping with some great music that can change your attitude…and altitude, but also, don’t forget about your friend(s). We all need one another. Being plugged into godly relationships will help us not only turn our day around, but maybe our life too.
May God richly bless you,
