Does the Bible ever mention cavemen in the Bible? If not, what are we to make of them?
God Created Man
The idea that man evolved into a human being has never been proven to be true. In fact, the “molecules-to-man” theory of evolution cannot be proven that we evolved into human beings. The Bible simply says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen 1:1). For us, that is enough. We know that God is Creator of all things, and of course, “all things” includes human beings and all life forms. The Bible says, “God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen 1:27), so this leaves no room for a single-cell amoeba to eventually evolve into a male and a female. The Bible states as a fact, which of course it is, that “God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Gen 1:28), so Adam and Eve were created as adults and certainly God didn’t wait for them to “evolve” into an organism that could “have dominion over the…earth and subdue it.” That would take millions of years (we presume). For this reason, I can’t understand why there are Christians who believe in the theory of evolution when God says He created them, male and female, after His own image, not after the image of a single-cell amoeba. Besides, theories are not the same as scientific facts, and certainly biblical truth.
There are so many fake fossilized remains that many claim to have been ancestors to humans that we cannot possibly cover them all in one article, however we can look at least at a few to show how hard evolutionists work to disprove the creation account that they are willing to create their own “evidence, ” intentionally deceiving the public. One case in point was with Nebraska Man who was “imagined” from a single tooth that probably belonged to an extinct peccary and was even named Hesperopithecus, however this tooth was misidentified as belonging to a species of anthropoid ape and does not belong to humanoid species. In November of 1999, National Geographic magazine actually showcased a new fossil named Archaeoraptor liaoningensis, and despite the fact that the specimen didn’t’ go through proper scientific review, they still claimed that it was a “missing link” between dinosaurs and birds. This was later found to be a fabrication by a Chinese farmer but this lie wasn’t exposed quickly enough to prevent National Geographic from getting egg on its face (again!) and publishing the new “discovery.” Once more, evolutionists were tricked, and National Geographic was forced to issue an apology to its readers, and later published an article explaining the origin of the error. Why do they desperately seek “missing links” when the whole chain is missing? A missing link is only helpful when there’s a chain of evidence to begin with; which there is not!
Cavemen and Neanderthals
The Bible is not a science book or a book about the heavens. It is a book that shows us how to get there, so you won’t find Cavemen and Neanderthals mentioned in the Bible because there is no significance to them in the Bible. Evolutionists believe that prehistoric man are our ancestors, but mankind was not created after the image and likeness of humanoids, cavemen, or Neanderthals or apes…mankind was created in the image of God (Gen 1:27). It’s interesting that scientists believe we evolved from primates, yet the fossilized remains of primates have remained unchanged and haven’t evolved any at all.
Suppressing the Knowledge of God
Why do evolutionists seem bent toward disproving creation? It’s because they don’t want God in their lives and they will go to any extreme to try to “prove” that God does not exist. If there is no God, then they are free to do what they want to do. Without a God, there is no sin of adultery, sexual immorality, drunkenness, and so forth. The Apostle Paul gives the true reason why people deny the existence of God and are so passionate about propping up the theory of evolution, even going so far as to fabricate evidence. Paul writes that “the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth” (Rom 1:18), because “what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse” (Rom 1:19-20), so “although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened” (Rom 1:21). The bottom line for evolutionary scientists is this; “Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things” (Rom 1:22-23). These who claim “to be wise” are really, “fools” because they’ve exchanged the truth about God for a lie and actually worship the creation rather than the Creator. They suppressed the knowledge of God and they reject the knowledge of God, which “is plain to them,” and “So they are without excuse.”
If we believe that God used evolution to create life, and specifically Adam and Eve, then what else do these “evolutionists” not believe in the Bible? Do they believe in Jonah and the great fish? Do they believe in the flood of Noah’s day? Do they believe God? To think that God created the universe and then sat back and watched things evolve while God kept His hands off is to rob God of glory. Instead, they want to glorify “mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things” (Rom 1:23). Cavemen are not mentioned in the Bible, but so what? We know that mankind doesn’t want God in their lives anyway because He interferes with their sexual freedoms. That may be the bottom line of why people want to believe in evolution. If there is no Creator, then there is no God, and if there’s no God, there is no sin, if there’s no sin, they are free to do what they want, however, “God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Eccl 12:14), and that evil includes the denial of the existence of God, even though they are without excuse because they are simply suppressing this truth (Rom 1:18-20).
